Being one of the creative practices, crafting includes several forms of art such as sculpture, metalwork, knitting and printing. There are several types of crafts based on their purpose and forms.

1. a)Paper craft: Several children get their introduction to paper crafts in pre-school when using several print designs on construction paper. Paper crafts include calligraphy and papermaking.
2. b)Functional craft: Several furniture crafts are considered primarily functional and can be quite decorative as well.
3. c)Textile craft: The type of craft uses animals, plants and synthetic fibers to construct decorative and practical objects. The craft includes any type of works that includes work with fabric, surface design and yarn.
4. d)Decorative crafts: When we talk about decorative crafts, we denote to metal works, stenciling, furniture making, spongeware, basketry and stained glass. We have been seeing trend of combination of metalwork with furniture work. Metal work tends to be industrial looking but there can be ornate metalwork included as well.
5. e)Fashion Craft: The type of craft incorporates elements of dressing, hats, leatherwork, garments and jewelry. The crafts involve several materials from soft fabrics such as linen, wool and cotton. Sewing is part of making garment, design and construction of clothing as process which needs techniques.
