It was a beautiful evening sky. The stars were talking in perfect constellations. The breeze brushing on our faces as we sat calmly in the rented vintage car. More of a moment, less of conversation. All the fun and the laughter still heard in the silent night. It felt good sitting mum for the first time, holding a glass of beer as we gazed at the sky. It had been a tiring day traveling all around, knocking off the shores and edging over the cliffs.
Taking polaroids of each other, pranking strangers, and running after one another. All the filmy scenes we managed to play real, with all sorts of expressions and failures. The standing up on the car's seat and letting the scarf go hand in hand with the wind overhead. To sit in the window seat and make hand waves that coordinated with that of the ocean. Forgot the wrongs we had committed and didn't give a damn to the rights we have to do. Because the moment we were in was much more than a realization of right and wrong.
It was just music we were dancing to. Music with no origin, no radio, no music system. No one could hear the music we played because it was exclusively on our playlist. High on music, high on life we surfed through the curvy roads and the woods on the side.In the calm night, I finally make a bit of interruption to clink the beer bottles and say cheers to us and this day.
Just imagining all this makes us so excited, gives that feeling of relaxation, and a need to have all this. It all comes back to that one word, TRAVELING. And obviously, age is no barrier when it comes to travel, many of us have spent our life running after our goals, fulfilling needs and wants, trying to maintain a good living standard but have just forgotten to live in the moment we are and check upon ourselves. It is rightly said by Matthew Karsten, " Investment in travel is an investment in yourself." Exploring new places and things, tasting some new flavors, walking on a new road, sitting by some different calmness... all these help to maintain a person's inner peace and obviously 'live in the moment', away from all the worries and rights-wrongs of the world.
