Nepotism In Indian politics

"Nepotism is a disease, which can not be transmitted but can only be inherited.."

                                -Abhinav Dwivedi

India is a democratic country. Talking about it's constitution, it follows the thought "By the people, to the people and for the people". So every citizen of India follows every particular rule and regulations made by their constitution.

But what if there faith from the constitution falls down? They would not follow any rule nor any regulations. Why? Just because of the Nepotism

During the 13th Lok Sabha elections, it was recorded that about 8% MPs from the total number of MPs, from congress party and about 6% of MPs from BJP, were either the scions or married to former MPs.

Other parties such as AIADMK, BJD, TMC,etc  are  also in this list. With about 12% of AIADMK, 8% from Shiv Sena, 7% from TMC and 4% of TRS. There are many more in the list. I didn't think that any Party whether from central government or from state government, is untouchable from nepotism.

Initiating from Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav to Priyanka Gandhi, KT Rama Rao, etc everyone is a product of nepotism. I am not getting that what they have done for the party?I mean, are they just proting the larty? The party was established by their father or grandfather and they are just ruling over it.

Talking about the elections of 2014, from BJP, there was 44 MPs that were elected just because of the family connections. While this number was comparatively lower with 18 MPs from Congress.

So I was thinking that whether all the 44 MPs deserves the place at which they are and the power that they are getting? Definitely Not. All these MPs are just the result of nepotism or favoritism.

So when we here word politics, the first thing that comes in mind is power and at a broad spectrum it is true too. All of these nepotism products have got the power  at very younger age, even at the age when they were unaware about  what actually constitution and rules and regulations are.

In Indian politics, earlier when the leaders like APJ Abdul Kalam was in power, continuously working for the development of the country and it's citizen, even till his last breath,he was doing the same.

On the other hand, nowadays every political leader just think to fulfill his own needs and only increasing their bank balance. And if the son or any family member of the same leader came into politics, he/she will do the same. Why? Because this is the thing that they have learnt from their elders.

Due to this act of favoritism and nepotism, no common man, like earlier days, at the time of dynasties, is able to raise his/her voice against these parties. If he/she do something like that, then they have to pay for the same.

So yes!! Nepotism is everywhere even in our constitution.
