Favoritism at workplace

Favoritism is everywhere, starting from our houses to our work places. In the previous article of favoritism, I had written about the impacts on children because of parent's favoritism. Now in this article, I am talking about the favoritism that is often observed by most of the employees at their office or at other institutions.
So like children, many employees also have to face favoritism. There are many factors responsible for the same. Few of them are:-
1. Gender
2. Religion
3. Friendship beyond workplace
Gender
One of the main reason behind this favoritism thing is based up on gender. For example, the attraction of an employer towards a female employee is more and because of that he used to provide her much better favors and opportunities than male employees. And this favoritism thing can be easily differentiated by other employees, which will cause a lot difficulty for the employer as well as for the employee.
Religion
Another main factor behind favoritism is religion. How? Generally, the trust between a employee and the employer of same religion is better than that of employee from in religion. This religion based discrimination also leads to cause resentment of an employees with his employer.
Relationship beyond workplace
Okay! Another most common factor that comes into play is the relation between an employer and employee, out of the workplace. How? Let us try to understand this with an example, a person is working as a manager in a company, later his friend or classmate or Sport's partner or a family member, joins the same company. So it is genuine that the manager would pay more attention on his acquaintance rather than other employees, which leads to cause favoritism.
No matter how much an employer or a boss try to hide his favoritism or attachment towards a particular employee, but it will be easily visible by other employees, which would cause misunderstanding between the employee and employer, as well as many other problems.
Favoritism is not only affecting the employee, but employer is also losing his/her reputation.
