Andhra Pradesh stands second highest in the number of Covid-19 cases in India. The first case was reported on 12th March 2020 in Nellore. The state has data of 632K total cases, 5,410 deaths and 552K recovered cases. East Godavari is found to have the highest number of cases in the state.
The state possess 296 hotspots including 189 urban and 207 rural areas. There has been decrease in the number of deaths in last two months. Andhra Pradesh have three types of facility to treat patients based on the severity of disease.
- Dedicated COVID hospital
- COVID care centre (CCC)
- COVID health centre (CHC)
The state allowed the ease of lockdown outside the containment zones and the schools and educational institutions remain shut till 31st September 2020.
