Corona Virus Impact On HealthCare Sector
The COVID-19 has brought many new challenges for the healthcare sectors and even the developed countries that have the most advanced healthcare systems are also crumbled.
The impact of this pandemic is clearly visible in financial markets. Healthcare sector is the epicentre of the global pandemic challenges and the private healthcare sector has risen by offering all the support that government needs.
Private sectors are also facing some burdens like:-
- Experiencing a sharp drop in Outpatient (OP) footfalls, elective surgeries and international patients.
- Investing additional manpower, equipments to ensure 100% preparedness for safety in hospitals.
There is also much impact on India’s Medical Device Industry. The country imports capital equipments such as gloves, syringes, bandages etc from China but now it is not possible to import or export anything from China. This pandemic has revealed the real weakness of our Healthcare systems. Non availability of masks, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) has shown more about our healthcare industry. Limited number of doctors, hospital beds and ventilators is the serious concern for the nation.
A well functioning healthcare system needs well trained and adequately workforce. An efficient healthcare system contributes in country’s economy, industrialization and in development also.
