Learning disorder is an information-processing problem that affect a person's ability to learn and explain.

Learning Disorder

 

Learning disorder comprises a number of mixed disorders, that together cause the problem in learning. In this condition, the affected individual lacks enthusiasm for reading or writing or learning any type of skills. 

 

Occurence:- Mostly observed in an average thinking person. Not that much common, less than one million cases are reported per year in India. However, it is more seen in the various developed countries like America and Australia. Both male and female are equally estimated to suffer from this disorder.

Causes:- According to experts, genetical factors are mainly responsible for it's cause. But in some cases other factors are also present, like Chromosomal abnormalities, complications during pregnancy in mother, etc.

 

There are few of top and most common type of learning disabilities:- 

1. Dyslexia

2. Dyscalculia

3. Dysgraphia

4. Dyspraxia

 

Dyslexia

 

One of the most common learning disorder.  It disturbs the normal functioning of an individual's understanding of words or sentences or paragraphs. It also disrupts the language based skills, in which the person sometimes got confused while talking or like say other word in place of other.

 

Dyscalculia

In this, a person lost his ability to solve math's concept. He/she actually not able to memorize the concepts and formulas of mathematics, which causes trouble in studies. Individual with such problems, even been unable to calculate, and solve most easier questions.

 

Dysgraphia 

 

 

In this type of learning disability, a person's writing ability is affected. A person suffering with Dysgraphia, write extreme small words and also very slowly. His/her hand writing, might be uneven or inconsistent. Sometimes there writing is very much worse, that anyone can't even read that properly.

 

Dyspraxia

It is not a type of learning disability, but is present along with the other upper mentioned disabilities. Sometimes it is even unrecognizable, can be sometimes only identified with the help of experts. This basically affects the motor skills of an individual, which results in causing distractions while doing any work or while studying. This disability doesn't gain much attention like other learning disabilities, but it causes similar effects, and affects the learning ability of an individual suffering with this.
