India's beauty is unpredictable, before visiting it personally. The country of different religions with different caste and culture, living together and completing it. The delicious food here is like another heaven on the earth. Talking about its cultural and ethical values, it is on top of the list. So exploring India's each and every corner before life hits you, is an excellent idea.
So I am starting this journey from eastern state of India, Orissa or Odisha, The land of gods. Here are few of the most famous places that one must have to visit in Orissa.

Jagannath Temple
Jagannath temple, also known as the Jagannath Puri, is a Hindu sacred place and one of the Char Sham Pilgrimage. It is the temple dedicated to the Lord Vidhnu. It is located in the Puri region of Orissa. Jagannath temple is another reason of calling Orissa as the land of gods. There are lot of mysterious things about the temple, whose explanation is not yet given by science. This was built in around 1161CE. Its architecture and beauty is exceptional from all. Many mughal emperors tried to destruct this, but none of them was able to do so.
Puri Beach
Puri Beach is one of the major point of attraction for tourists. It is one of the safest beach of India, located in Puri, Orissa. Because of the amazing views that is seen in the dawn and dusk here, and astonishing nature, it is also known as Golden Beach.
Hirakud Dam
Hirakud Dam is one of the oldest dam that is built on the Mahanadi river, 15 kilometers from Sambalpur region of Orissa. It was the first multipurpose river valley project by Indian Government after the Independence. It is one of the longest dam in the world with the length of 27 kilometers.
Lingaraja Temple
Lingaraja Temple is another one of the oldest and largest temple of India, dedicated to Lord Shiva. As per the resources, it was built by Somvanshi King Yayati-1. In Orissa, it is another most visited place by tourist. This temple has a different respect in Hindus and a very important role in Hindu religion. Talking about its architecture, just visit it once, you will be awestruck after watching its huge structure and beauty.
Similipal National Park
Similipal national park or Similipal tiger reserve is a huge park, covering around 2750 square kilometers of area. It is located in Mayurbanj, Orissa. Known for conserving the highest tiger's population in India. As per the reports of the park, there are about 1080 plant's species, 55 mammal's species, 304 of bird species, 60 reptile species, 38 species of fish, 134 species of butterfly and many others are kept here. The nature here feels like just perfect. Another reason making it one of most visited park, are the waterfall Jorand and Barehipani. Visit here once, you will not feel any regret later.
