Although there are many excellent 3D platformers currently available, the ones listed here are an excellent place for new players to begin their gaming careers. The release of Super Mario 64 fundamentally altered video games forever. Despite the fact that it wasn't the very first 3D platforming adventure, it was a pioneer for 3D gaming and helped pave the way for decades of fantastic 3D platformers.
The movement in Mail Mole consists of the player having to burrow Molty the mail mole through Carrotland's various stages in order to progress through the game. Mail Mole is a super charming and original 3D slope game platforming game with a twist. This game does not feature the standard movement found in other 3D platformers; rather, it provides players with the opportunity to make quick dashes underground, followed by jumping out of the earth, and then repeating the process.
Molty must complete a variety of challenges within a comfortable hub world. This world is full of non-playable characters (NPCs), hidden secrets, and even a shop where carrots (the game's currency) can be spent to purchase hats and outfits. Due to the relative simplicity of its gameplay mechanics, the 3D platforming game Mail Mole is an excellent entry point for newcomers. Once you've gotten used to the different movements, however, you'll find that burrowing and platforming through the levels while collecting food-themed goodies makes for an exciting and engaging time. Sure, it takes a minute to get used to the alternative movements, but once you do, it's worth it.
Given that it was the game that paved the way for the vast majority of 3D platformers, Super Mario 64 probably does not require any sort of introduction. This adventure for the Nintendo 64 took the portly plumber throughout the entirety of the Mushroom Kingdom, but this time in full 3D. In comparison to games that are available today, this one may appear to be quite dated, but in the late 1990s, it was a ground-breaking innovation.
If, for whatever reason, you have not had the opportunity to play this incredible game, you should make it a priority to do so as soon as possible. If you're new to the world of 3D platforming, this could very well be the best game for you to start with. This game's platforming and movement are so good that they hold up even after more than two decades have passed. Even though you'll need some time to get used to the camera, which can be a bit finicky at times, the rest of the game, including the excellent level design, will immerse you in a satisfying experience of 3D platforming.
