The Taj Mahal was built by the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan. He built it in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is wonderful and world famous monument . It is said that they began the construction in 1630 and it took twenty two years to be built , and twenty thousand workers were employed to build it . This monument is on the list of the Seven Wonders of the World . No wonder people swarm in flies all year round to witness the magnificence of his beauty. This monument is located in India in the city of Agra in Uttar Pradesh.

Named “jilaukhana” ,it has 3 gates , allowing entry and exit to the tourist . The second part is the gardens of the Taj Mahal . This is where the Taj Mahal reflected in the 4 famous water bodies . The garden is called “Chahar bagh”. The third part of Taj Mahal is complex which is to the north , it is a large terrace called “Chameli Farsh” which contains in the center the mausole itself .
