INDIA-CHINA ISSUE
HISTORY
While leaving India Back in 1947 Britishers left SINO INDIAN BORDER DISPUTE unresolved.In 1950 when china got independent they tried to solve the issue but couldn't find a way.In 1955 both countries aggred to make new boundaries but talk failed again.
India and china don't have well defined boundaries.India follows McMahon line which was made by the Britishers while China don't they claim Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh as their part.
During 1960 Indo-China war china occupied few part of Ladakh and named it as AKSAI CHIN.The line dividing aksai chin and Ladakh is called LAC(Line of actually control). Around 179 km of this highway passes through Aksai Chin in the Indian Territory is called as G219. This road was built then without India’s consent.
India sees China as occupying 38,000 sq km of its territory in Aksai Chin, while China claims 90,000 sq km in Arunachal Pradesh.On the western and the south western side of LAC we have Karokaram range which has lots of hills and high mountains sorrounded.This region lies in india which is the biggest threat of the Chinese army. They fear that in future if there will be war India will have a plus point and they may take back the Chinese occupied Ladakh also aksai chin.
DISPUTE IN GALWAN VALLEY
As per India Galwan valley is a part of India but china claims it as their part.
On 15 June A team which was led by Colonel Santosh Babu of 16 Bihar Regiment went to hold a discussion with the Chinese army as the PLA were not returning as per their aggrement. During the talk, the Chinese PLA misbehaved with the Indian army. They eventually attacked the Indian soldiers with sticks, stones and clubs wrapped in barbed wire.The Colonel and his army suffered alot of injuries during the Attack.Patrol Point 14 (PP14) was the point where the face-off took place.It is near LAC and is at the indian side.
BAN OF CHINESE APP'S
The fight on the border between India and china turned and resulted in Business conflicts as INDIAN GOVERNMENT BANNED 59 CHINESE APP'S.Due to which China had to face huge financial loss as India was big contributor in their economy.Alone tiktok predicted over $6 billion loss after the ban of the app from india. This was the biggest step taken by the Government of India.
