Wardwoven Chests are one of the new additions added with Season of the Construct in Diablo 4. These chests can be found at the end of the new Vaults activity, as a bonus reward for players who were able to complete the dungeons. To help you get even more valuable items as a reward, here is how you can open Wardwoven Chests in Diablo 4 and claim the loot within.
To open Wardwoven Chests in Diablo 4, players must complete Vaults while saving as many stacks of Zoltun's Warding as possible. Players need to interact with the Statue of Zoltun Kulle at the beginning of each challenge and sacrifice Pearls of Warding in exchange for the blessing to get more stacks of this buff. Each Pearl will give the player three stacks of Zoltun's Warding. As for obtaining these pearls, players can find them in chests at the end of the Vault or get them by defeating the Herald of Malphas mini-boss during Arcane Tremors. You will also lose a stack of this status effect every time you get hit by any of the traps and hazards present within the Vaults.
At the same time, each Wardwoven Chest has its own price depending on the level and the rewards it contains. Thus, by participating in Vaults on higher World Tiers or completing Nightmare Vaults, you can find two or more chests at the end of the path and open them for the following price:
Ordinary Chest: Opening this chest does not require Zoltun's Warding.
World Tier 1 & 2 Chest: Must save one Stack of Zoltun's Warding.
World Tier 3 Chest: Must save four Stacks of Zoltun's Warding.
World Tier 4 Chest: Must save 10 Stacks of Zoltun's Warding.
Wardwoven Chests contain many rewards, and opening them will also progress your Seasonal Journey, as it has a couple of tasks that involve them. Here is a list of rewards that can be found within the Wardwoven Chests in Season 3:
Rare & Legendary D4 Items
Gold
Nightmare Dungeon & Vault Sigils
Crafting Materials
Governing & Tuning Stones
Journals of Zoltun Kulle
That covers everything you need to know about the new Wardwoven Chests in Diablo 4's Season of the Construct. Opening as many of these chests at the end of a Vault dungeon is going to provide you with a satisfying loot explosion that will keep you coming for the rest of the season.
