Having a set routine comes with a lot of benefits. Not only does it give you a better clarity of what you should achieve with your day, but also helps you actually achieve your tasks in a timely manner. You wake up, go into auto-pilot mode and do the things you usually do. You somehow feel like you have so little time in your day, it doesn't feel like you even have all 24 hours! This is mostly because you are spending so much time on things that don't even require that much time! 

Here are a few habits to inclue in your daily routine to make it more mindful and productive!

  1. Avoid technology : this has worked flawlessly for me because i used to that person who spend spend hours on phone as soon as I'd wake up and before I knew it, it'd be time for lunch. So, if you're anything like me, reaching for your phone as soon as you awaken is probably not the best thing to do. Instead, you can lay awake on your bed for a couple of minutes and make a mental note of all the things you want to acheieve that day!
  2. Drink a full glass of water : By the time you wake up, you would've gone a whole 6 to 8 hours without a sip of water. So, gulp down a glass of water before you start your day. You could even add a slice of lemon to a glass of warm water which helps to remove toxins that would've built up overnight. 
  3. Make yourself a healthy breakfast : Remember, breakfast is teh most important meal of the day. Make sure you eat a hearty breakfast before you can go on with your day. Breakfast helpsto jumpstart your metabolism and gives your energy to get going for the rest of the day. Never skip your breakfast. If you're busy and in a rush, atleast grab a protein bar and munch on it on your way.
  4. Make a to-do list : if there was just one takeaway from this article, let it be this one : MAKE TO-DO LISTS! They are so helpful, you can list out all the tasks you need to get done for the day and check them off as you go on achieving those tasks which is so satisfying!
