EDUCATION AFTER COVID-19 PANDEMIC
The covid-19 pandemic showed us that the present way of life does not work. We have to think and move forward in much more efficient and focussed way. We can say that covid-19 pandemic made all our eyes open and thus led us to a realization. The pandemic has been our perception of what is normal abd deconstructed the society as we know it.
One such critical area, where the need for change has become evident, is education. The effect of corona virus has changed the entire life of students, parents and teachers. The school days, campus, friends and all has become dream for the generation.Even though, we are creating a virtual platform for education, we don't know how far it will work in the minds and behaviour of children.But the thing is that, it's the reality, we have to accept it and move on.
Online learning has emerged as the mist viable tool for educators looking to ensure that the pandemic's impact on their learners academic progress minimized. Virtual classes and online learning have suddenly become the norm instead of novelty, even as conventional models are reshaped to make learning more personalized, engaging and interactive.
According to the situation, we have to build up a more efficient education because we know that this kind of threats will even continue. We have to ensure quality education for children in short time. We have to make them employable in a very short time. Then only we can control our economy. The course of learning and the way curriculums are taught may change. Aspects that were once considered fundamental to education may be revised to largely accommodate life skills of the future.
The educational system which we have to focus should require skills like resilence, adaptability, collaboration, communication, empathy, creativity and emotional intelligence.
Learning in school will have a new purpose and it will be a major deviation from the information -focused education of today. We have to utilize the innovative methods of education. The age-old methods of educational system do not utilize the highest potential of brain. Approaches like integrated learning and experimental learning, with greater implementation of technology, will power the future education in schools.
