Cleaning your home is a good practice, it feels great to have a clean living space.

A clean home is a happy home, happiness is coming home to a clea living space after a long, tiring day! So make cleaning a part of your routine, having a clean space makes it a happy place.

Here are a few hacks to make cleaning your home easier:

  • Sanitize your phone: Your phone may look squeaky clean but the truth is that it may harbor an awful amount of germs. So, use an alcohol wipe to give your phone a nice makeover. Do the same with your TV remote.
  • Wine stains? No problem : Mix about 3 parts of hydrogen peroxide and 1 part dishwashing liquid, then apply this mixture to your red wine stain. Let it sit for a while to do its magic. Then, blot it clean and fully wash out the mixture.
  • DIY All-purpose liquid cleaner : Combine 4 tablespoons baking soda and 1 quart warm water, and scrub away with a sponge  for a clean surface.
  • Clogged drain : If you find that your drain is clogging just pour a 1/2 cup of baking soda down it, followed by a 1/2 cup of vinegar and make sure to cover with a wet cloth . Wait for a good five minutes and flush with some hot water.
  • Untangle a knotted chain/necklace : did you finally find that necklace you searched the whole house for but discover it in a knotty mess? Fret not, sprinkle some baby powder on and and use a pin to remove the knots.
  • Stains on the cutting board : Want to get stains out of your cutting board? Run a sliced lemon over the cutting board, you could also sprinkle some salt or baking soda over the board for the best results. 
  • Remove coffee stains from mugs : if your favorite ceramic mug was stained by coffee, just squirt some liquid soap over it and some baking soda and scrub it away.
  • Clean the microwave : You can use essential oils to clean the microwave. Add about 10 drops of lemon essential oil into one and a half cups water to a microwave-safe bowl, and microwave on high for five to 10 minutes making sure that you are allowing the steam to condense on inside walls of your microwave, once complete, simply wipe away the softened food with a sponge.
  • Clean your ceiling fan with a pillow case : Slip it in between the fan blades and clean them slowly one at a time, this ensures that no dust falls on your furniture.
