It seriously scares me, because I can only imagine the struggle they confronted at that phase of life. It is tough to be in rehab though, the rehab explains that when a person gets treatment at his own place or home. Those who get treatment at home are blessed by God's grace because at that tough time they were still with their loved ones (family, friends, relatives). They have their trust one's who will take care of them, no matter what. The person who is in rehab will also try to get better when he sees his family also struggling with him.
Most of the time it happens that people lose their hope of getting cured or people are not able to recover from that phase, because they lost hope but the irony is we all are alive because we hope that tomorrow we will be alive, though, the reality is not same. Nobody knows when their last day is, however, it is essential not to lose hope because this hope keeps us alive and it is possible when the person will get moral, emotional, and physical support.
Until and unless an individual doesn't put his own efforts or he is not emotionally strong, no one can actually cure his syndrome and he can try to end his life or taking any untrue steps which can lead to disaster for him and his family. The person needs to believe in himself and he should not eavesdrop to those who try to disgrace him by ratifying unpleasant opinions. Society will be judgemental towards that person and will make fun of him but nobody will understand his struggle or ask him about his health.
All you need to focus is on your health rather and get better and better with time.
