Ever wondered how it feels to have your first solo trip where you could choose your international destination? Yes. I had my first when I was eighteen and I chose Belgium. With the April heat scorching in India, I landed at Belgium, the prettiest place I could land at with a temperature so cold to pull over with clothing as good as a jacket.
Out of everything this was a place that had a customary establishment for its infamous waffles, pancakes, and various other street food which was something to lay back on a warm sunny winter afternoon. With being one of the largest cities in West Flanders, you'd be entering a city which is very photographic with small streets and bridges or bicycle around. Hoping to cover the city in a crux, I took a boat from Roenhoedkaai through the waterbody. With a scenario so pretty, I spent some time experiencing the beauty of the architecture of the building, houses, and the monuments that our tour guide at the boat was pointing us to.
With that after an hour or two of getting to know the major points of the city, I personally am a person who indulges into local food and beer on a warm summer afternoon where I came down to walking towards city center where all the restaurants and the grocery stores are located and had a bite of local pancakes, fries, and a drink; which was really appreciated for the price that they charged. The locals were helpful and guided me through other places like the brewery which was a landmark statement at their city where tourists who liked beer would go where they taught you about how they would process their product and it was a sight to watch with the explanations that they gave. I also visited a couple of museums around which were fascinating and something memorable for me at that age.
Europe can get expensive if you do not plan in advance or is not a place that you could come down to impromptu. With all the culture, heritage, food, and other charming things the continent as a whole can offer you, you could have a relaxed time as a person traveling solo, a honeymoon trip, with friends, or even with your family. As they say, the best education you will ever get is traveling. I in my honest and humble opinion believe in this as it taught me that this was an experience that was more than exploring the world and having accommodating ideas and accumulating experiences that stick around when you grow old.
