The couple said in a statement that they are floating with love and wonder!
The statement made by them also emphasized on the the difficulty that the pandemic has caused for expecting mothers.
They said that communities around the world are still experiencing and trying to overcome a shortage of healthcare workers and every 11 seconds a pregnant woman or a newborn
dies, mostly from causes that could have been prevented .They added that because of the Covid-19 pandemic, many newborns' lives are at risk because of a greater lack of access
to water, soap, medicines, vaccines and challenges that prevent diseases.
They said that as parents to a newborn baby, this breaks their hearts, and that they empathize with struggling parents now more than ever.
The couple has also said that they had set up a donation page to mark their daughter's birth, the proceeds go towards new mothers and newborns
As soon as the news was announced, wishes and congratulations from all over the world came pouring in for the new parents!
